Western Coventry Elementary presented with battle flag

School presented battle flag
Western Coventry Elementary School students Eva Shuchman, right, and Hannah Dazzeo admire a U.S. flag yesterday that was sent to the school by Air Force Lt. Col. Judson Fancher, an F-16 pilot serving in Iraq who had carried the flag on a mission. In May a group of first-grade students wrote letters and sent cookies to Fancher. At left, Shelly LeBlanc, of Coventry, shows students items sent by Fancher to the school. LeBlanc, whose mother and father are friends of the officer’s parents, Rob and Jan Fancher of Barrington, has twin boys who were part of the project. (The Providence Journal 9/19/07)
